2025SKOVRAN Ensemble – Official Presentation in Belgrade On December 5th, at the Una Saga Serbica Dance Center, we held the ceremonial presentation of the newly founded SKOVRAN Ensemble, established by choreographer and stage director Miloš Cile Mitić. SKOVRAN is conceived as a new professional stage platform that unites tradition and contemporary performance aesthetics, inspired by the legacy of Olga Skovran and the Belgrade school of staged folk dance. The program featured selected choreographies, vocal segments, and video materials performed by SKOVRAN’s young professional dancers, paying tribute to the key figures of staged folklore: Olga Skovran, Dragomir Vuković Kljaca, Bratislav Bata Grbić, Vladeta Vlahović Cvrca, and Radojica Kuzmanović. A Protocol of Cooperation was signed between SKOVRAN and Una Saga Serbica, establishing a strategic partnership for future artistic and educational projects. “SKOVRAN was created out of a need to restore dignity to tradition on stage,” Mitić said in his address, adding that the project is “a tribute to the great masters who shaped and inspired my artistic path.” The event was supported by Detailing Store (general sponsor) and numerous cultural and private-sector partners, and it marked the introduction of the SKOVRAN Friends Club, dedicated to supporting young performers and developing new artistic programs. Partners and supporters included Jimmy Studio, Pletisanka, Skills Experience Center, Hotel Nobel, Ensemble Prosvjeta Vukovar, KUD Mladih Novi Pazar, Danica Krstić Official, Beli Orlovi, Izba and Dika wineries, Rakije Vesić, Trivunova rakija, Leskovačko pivo, Premier chocolate, Đura Bar and Monks Bar. The evening concluded with messages of support from artists in Croatia, North Macedonia and Australia. Media & Production: Studio Digi, Topola.
