SEAD in Salzburg, Austria, is holding its Auditions 2021 for entrance into the four-year undergraduate contemporary dance education program “Artist in Process” as well as the postgraduate program “I.C.E. – Choreographer´s Year”.

 

The first-round auditions take place from January to April 2021 in Europe, America and Asia. The second round takes place in Salzburg in May 2021. Detailed information about the auditions can be found on our website: https://www.sead.at/index.php/academy/auditions

MoveMentors Workshops

One-week dance intensives in Salzburg, Austria

 

15-20th February 2021 with Konstandina Efthimiadou and Libby Farr

29th March- 3rd April 2021 with Christine Gouzelis and Smaralia Karakosta

5-10th April 2021 with Konstandina Efthimiadou and Isaac Spencer

 

followed by the Salzburg first-round audition at SEAD on 10 April 2021.

 

SEAD will give students a chance to experience SEAD in a one-week workshop that gives the participants a taste of what daily life is like in our program. MoveMentors Dance Intensive workshops offer daily morning classes in Yoga, Pilates, Contemporary and Ballet taught by SEAD faculty. Afternoon workshops with the Mentors will include Composition and Improvisation. The mentors will give you individualized coaching and mentoring in small groups – a rare opportunity to receive individual feedback and help in bringing out your best dancing. This is a unique opportunity to devote yourself to improving your technical level as well as to introduce you to SEAD’s curriculum.

SUMMER ACADEMY 2021

dancearts welcomes students for SUMMER ACADEMY 2021
from 5th to 10th of July and/or 23rd to 28th of August in the following age groups

A: 10 and 11 years
B: 12 – 14 years (Intermediate)
C: 15 years and elder (Advanced)

excellence in Classical Ballet and Pointe/ Repertoire training with dancearts team and international guest teachers such as Rainer Krenstetter (Principal dancer with Miami City Ballet) and Mihail Sosnovschi (former soloist with Wiener Staatsballett).

In addition, there is also possibilities to apply for the audition for Noja-Nebyla STAGE Education Season 2021-22 or win a scholarship for the European Ballet Grand Prix 2022.

Registration for the first term (5-10 July) closes on 28th of June 2021 and for the second term (23-28 August) on 16th of August 2021.

*Limited space in our workshop. When our group is formed we close the registration. We have a waiting list in case some participants cancel.

Ikonen-Pas-de-trois

02 Kresnik HellnweinIm Juli 2019 waren in Wien Werke von ChoreografInnen zu sehen, die im letzten Drittel des vorigen Jahrhunderts zu Ikonen aufgestiegen waren. Nach Maurice Béjarts vom Tokyo Ballet in der Staatsoper getanztem „The Kabuki“ (1986) eröffnete TANZLIN.Z mit Johann Kresniks „Macbeth“ (1988) ImPulsTanz. Ebenda war auch Pina Bauschs „Masurca Fogo“ (1998) zu sehen. Gesellschaftspolitische Gegebenheiten, Geschmack und Ästhetik, Tänzer- und Zuschauerschaft haben sich seither entschieden geändert, ein erneutes Sehen dieser Werke war also von besonderem Interesse.

fsh SchlaepferManuel Legris präsentiert seine letzte Spielzeit des Wiener Staatsballetts. Sein Nachfolger Martin Schläpfer gastiert im Festspielhaus St. Pölten, das mit seinem Programm auch in der neuen Saison seinen Ruf als das Tanzhaus Österreichs bestätigt. An den Landestheatern setzen die TanzdirektorInnen ihre jeweilige Linie fort. Ein Jahr voller “Cinderellas”, “Carmina Burana”s und zwei Premieren von Mauro Bigonzetti.

nasaDie Ägypterinnen Noura Seif Hassanein und Salma Abdel Salam (nasa4nasa) stoßen auf einem „Suash“-Platz an ihre Grenzen als Frauen und Tänzerinnen. Anne Juren schaut auf „42“ Jahre Leben, das bei den ZuseherInnen Ratlosigkeit verbreitet, während Simone Aughterlony und Petra Hrašćanec bewusst und ohne „Compass“ auf der rauen See der Orientierungslosigkeit treiben. Für Dana Michels „Cutlass Spring“ sollte das Publikum hingegen psychologische Grundkenntnisse mitbringen.

La Strada 2019 Outdoor: No Borders!

agudo0José Agudos musikalisch-tänzerische Reise entlang der Seidenstraße war sicher einer der Höhepunkte des diesjährigen Tanzsommers.
